We are a family business and we chose the name eCountryStore because the name represents rural
country store value and service with current technology and we strive to live up to those principles every day.
Many who have items to sell have considered selling on-line. They have, more often than not, been
confronted by a learning curve that is a Bear and we don't mean Teddy.
The pitfalls are many and the results can be meager.
Our core business is online sales with Amazon, eBay and Facebook Marketplace.
We welcome any questions you might have.
Current technologies offer meaningful assistance with arriving at the values of books.
There are scanning apps (we use ScoutIQ) to identify books and determine their value in the marketplace. Though more difficult books can be identified by title and author and sometimes even with a photograph of the cover.
Without doubt ISBN is the best way. The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is a 10-digit code assigned to books published after 1972 or a 13-digit code assigned to books published after 2006.
Each ISBN is unique to a specific book. A different ISBN is assigned to hardcover and paperback versions of the same title, as well as later editions with changes or additional content, or editions produced by different publishers. You'll generally find the number printed over the bar code on the book's back cover or on the copyright page.
If you will submit the ISBN number in the message section of the contact form we will be happy to share our professional opinion of the value of your book.
We are happy to assist anyone with recommendations on identifying the value of and selling their books but the core function of our business is not to buy books to be shipped to our facility.
Our focus is regional and our preference is to find books to pick up and sell on our Amazon and eBay stores.
We will pick up books, free is best, or we will purchase those we identify as having value and we offer a couple of consignment plans for especially valuable books.
